Privacy Policy for MMT (Myanmar Market Tracker)

Last updated: 24-11-2025

This Privacy Policy explains how MMT (Myanmar Market Tracker), developed by Nay, collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the MMT mobile application (the “App”). By using the App you accept the practices described in this policy.

1. Overview

MMT is an informational app that provides market-related data (for example, gold & silver prices, currency exchange rates, local fuel prices and promotions). The App is an information-only service. It does not provide account registration, messaging, or transactional functionality within the app.

2. Information We Collect

MMT does not require users to register, sign in, or provide personal identifiers (such as name, email, phone number) to use the core app. The App may, however, collect the following technical and anonymous data automatically:

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, device language, and device identifiers (for example, Android advertising ID if available).
  • App usage data: screens viewed, features used, taps/clicks, time spent in the app, and navigation paths.
  • Log and diagnostic data: crash reports, stack traces, and performance telemetry generated when the app encounters errors.
  • Approximate location (optional): if you enable location services on your device, the App may access approximate location to provide regional market information (you can disable location in your device settings at any time).

3. How We Use Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Improve app performance and reliability.
  • Diagnose and fix technical issues and crashes.
  • Understand general usage patterns to improve the user experience.
  • Deliver region‑based market information when location permission is granted.

MMT does not use collected data for targeted advertising or sell personal data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing and Third‑Party Services

MMT may use third‑party service providers to operate and analyze the App. These providers may automatically collect the technical data described above. Examples of typical third‑party services used by mobile apps include:

  • Google Play Services and Google Play Console tools
  • Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics (if enabled)
  • Expo or React Native runtime services (if used in your build)

These third parties have their own privacy policies and may process data under their terms. MMT is not responsible for the privacy practices of external services; please consult their respective policies for details.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Technical and analytics data (for example, crash logs and app usage analytics) are retained for up to 12 months unless otherwise required by law. Because the App does not create user accounts or store personal identifiers by default, there is no account data to delete.

If you believe there is analytics or diagnostic data associated with your device that you would like removed, you may request deletion by contacting the developer (see contact section). We will respond and take reasonable steps to remove available data within 30 days when feasible.

6. Security

We implement industry‑standard technical and organizational measures to protect data, including:

  • Encrypted transport (HTTPS) for network requests
  • Restricted access to production systems and logs
  • Use of reputable third‑party analytics and crash reporting providers

While we work to secure the App and data, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against all threats.

7. Children’s Privacy

MMT is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

The App may include links to external websites or resources. We have no control over and are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third‑party sites.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, the updated policy will be posted on this page and the Last updated date will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact & Privacy Point of Contact

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or data deletion requests, please contact:

Please include as much detail as possible in deletion or inquiry requests (device model, approximate time you used the App, and any other relevant context).
